Blood Orange & Blueberry Ice Blocks

Have you ever thought about how many ingredients are in a simple ice block? Chances are, it’s quite a few and some of them you won’t recognise as food! DIY ice blocks are a simple switch from buying your own, making it easier to understand what ingredients you and your family are eating. Our delicious blood orange & blueberry ice blocks are made with brewed fruit tea, our blood orange flavour in this case and fresh blueberries. Try making them with kids for a fun weekend activity. As they’re slightly lower in sugar than store-bought, getting the kids involved will mean they’re invested and more likely to love them! This recipe makes 6 ice blocks.

Method

  1. Place the milk in a saucepan and heat until almost at a boil. Add the tea bags and leave to infuse for 20 minutes.

These blood orange & blueberry ice-blocks would make a great after school snack or make them Friday night for a cool refresher on the weekend. Why not try this same recipe with one of our other fruit teas too? Our Blackcurrant, Chai or Tropical would work well too.
