Blood Orange and Blackberry Spritz

We love our herbals teas all year round! Great hot over winter and then coming into spring and summer they’re perfect to serve over ice. In this case, we’ve taken our yummy Blood Orange Tea and made it fancy by creating this Blood Orange & Blackberry Spritz! It’s a great excuse to make yourself a spritz that doesn’t involve alcohol but still feels like the kind of drink you want to relax with.

Blood Orange and Blackberry Spritz

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 2 Healtheries Blood Orange tea bags
  • 1 teaspoon good quality honey
  • 6-10 blackberries (depending on size)
  • Soda water to top
  • Orange slices & a rosemary sprig to serve

Method

  1. Place the tea bags into a mug and cover with 1/2 cup boiling water. Allow to steep until completely cool (approximately 30 minutes). Squeeze bags gently and set tea aside until ready to use.
  2. Combine honey with 1 tablespoon boiling water and stir to create a honey syrup.
  3. Place this in the bottom of the tall glass you’ll be serving in. Top with 6-10 blackberries (thaw ahead of time if using frozen). Use the top of a wooden spoon to mash these together into a rough pulp.
  4. Place a generous handful of ice on top. Fill with the cooled tea until 2/3 full and then fill the remainder of the glass with soda water.
  5. Garnish with orange slices and a spring of rosemary.

Serving Suggestion

Serving Suggestion

Serve this Blood Orange and Blackberry Spritz over ice with fresh orange slices & a rosemary sprig. If you’re serving a crowd, why don’t you up the quantities and make a jug? We love this spritz served with lunch or after work instead of a glass of wine.
