Delivering NZ’s FIRST certified home compostable tea bags*
We are proud to be the first New Zealand tea brand with certified home compostable tea bags* across our range of 30 different green, fruit, and herbal blends.
Our tea bags are made from fibre-based unbleached filter paper, the string is 100% cotton, and the tags are paper.
Following rigorous testing, we achieved home compostable certification with Australasian Bioplastic Association*. In addition, our tea boxes are 100% recyclable and made from certified by the Forest Stewardship Council, the global authority on responsible forestry.
This comes after removing the plastic box wrapper from packaging in 2021; replaced with a convenient tear feature that helps maintain the freshness and quality of the blends.
Compostable tea bags are a win for the environment. Every year, tons of tea bags made with non-compostable materials such as glue, staples, micro-plastics, and other materials don’t break down naturally.
